It snowed overnight. Like half an inch, but since the roads hadn't been treated, and people around here are twits, it was an issue.
So there I am in my beefy *NOT* Ford Focus trying desperately to keep the thing from sliding off the road when this big honkin' SUV grill fills my rear view mirror. And he won't back off, never having heard of the "reduce speed for road conditions" type concept. Also, I feel very confident stating HE because I go in to work at 6:30 am and generally the only other people out then are contractor types who have job sites to get to. At least that what I see in the Wawa.
Anyway, we get to a light at the bottom of this hill. I have geared down to second, got the gentle brake pumping thing going on and still manage to slide right through the intersection just missing another SUV. At that point I gave up trying to stop at all and decided the safest thing to do would be just keep going through, and started the other side of the hill.
So what does my friend SUV The First do when the light turns green? Gets right back up on my tail like he didn't notice me having problems at all. Or maybe he felt his manly, All-Wheel-Drive, SUV aura would surround my little pissant car too and just power me up the hill. Sheese, what the hell are these people drinking first thing in the morning that makes them leave their common sense back at the Wawa, for Christ's sake!
Just, give people room to think when the weather's bad. Oh man. What a bozo.
