redhedlvr2Well, I had a frustrating experience at the mall today. Need a dress for my grandaughter's baptism on Sunday and since I've lost weight I just don't have any. Overall, I have to say that I'm more disappointed and frustrated now as a shopper than I ever was as a Plus sized woman. At least then there seemed to be things I could find. Yes, I guess I was settling for whatever was handy at the time, but I just don't have good luck finding things now either. Or maybe, since I was a blimp, I just didn't care as much about what I wore, who knows.
Then again, perhaps I just REALLY hate wearing dresses and will always and forever be a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal.
Needless to say, I did NOT find dress. Came away with a pantsuit that I think will do me well for job interviews also. I guess what this is pointing out to me is that I need to dust off the old sewing machine and get back to making stuff I know I like and is comfortable. Style and fashion be damned.
