Doctor stuff

So I finally was able to make it up to an appointment with the surgeon at Temple. No surgerys got in the way, his or mine. No snow. I didn't wimp out. Yay me. Not only was the man ON TIME!!! But he was early. Which in my experience at that hospital just is unheard of.
First things first, though. I got to meet a very nice (Hi I'm Brian) third year intern who proceeded to take my medical history and jot down notes as to why I was there. Just like in Grey's Anatomy, except there wasn't a herd of people, just him. Then the doctor came in and Brian jumped up from his chair, practically at attention, and proceded to give him my history. It was difficult not to compare to the show and laugh.
Anyway, and no surprises here, gaining all that weight back has been a BAD THING! Not only am I now a candidate for fundiplication to help with the acid reflux, but apparently my blood pressure has taken the express train to the moon. DR D tells me that the procedure is a "good operation". And proceeded to break it down by the numbers with an 85% rate of completely new again and going down hill from there. It's an overnight stay and 2 weeks home recovery if they do it laproscopiclly instead of opening me up. The kicker is that patients are required to be on a LIQUID ONLY diet for 2 - 3 weeks and then begin to wean onto solids. How the heck does an adult live on a liquids only diet for almost a month? Am I drinking only milk shakes until the end of time?
Long story short, must get my life under control and stop eating every meal at Wawa and the pizza place up the road. Must grocery shop every week and must get my lazy ass out of bed and going for a walk every morning.
