Thanks. No news yet though. Yesterday was the two year mark and no sheriff at my door. I am confused by what the lawyer said. After thinking about it, I believe they have 20 days after filing to find her and serve her the papers. I thought it was two years. So, we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
I know here at work, when we send someone to collections and then on to a lawyer for the really hard cases, a sheriff gets sent out. When they can't find them a letter from the sheriff makes its way back to us saying the debtor can't be found and we wind up writing them off. So, I just don't know what applies in my daughter's case.
And in the end, it seems the only person worrying about this whole mess is me! Ugh!!
Like I don't have more pressing matters to contend with, right? My new boss is turning out to be a back-stabbing worm and I'm having surgery next week. Good times indeed.
