Audits and Psych Exams

I have decided that having an audit is alot like being evaluated by a psychiatrist. And I mean the MD kind and not the hand holding, and how did that make you feel psychologist type. They burn both away all the shit that you throw up trying to fool either yourself or others about how things really are. Their conclusions are based on cold hard facts and its guaranteed to piss you off, or send you crying into your alcoholic beverage of choice.

Date: 2007-08-15 11:55 am (UTC)The eval for meds was short and not sweet leaving me with the confirmed opinion that I do NOT want the drugs and will just have to find ways of modifying my behavior to keep from going into a bad depression another way. The stuff he gave me was causing my stomach to burn after about 5 hours as its as slow release thing and that's about the time the "second" dose kicks in. So he tells me go off for a few days then try again. And I'll give you Zanax (not sure of spelling) for anxiety since that's probably what's causeing the upset stomach.
I have a few problems with that. Number one, I told him I have had similar problems with Prozac and the doctor at that time did the same thing. Number two, I have an iffy stomach to begin with so LOTS of stuff causes issues. Number three, if he'd have listened to me, he would have heard me say my stomach BURNED it was not upset.
So I have come away from the event convinced that when it comes to some things like over prescribing meds, I know what's best for me.
So I'll just, you know, kick 'em in the head. A la Ray K.
