So there I was, all snug and comfy in my beddy by. VCR was set to record House. Had some tasty Due South fanfic to read. A wee, little storm was blowing outside, but nothing to write home about. Then, zap. A rather unremarkable bolt of lightning hit nearby and took out not only my VCR but my white noise generator next to my bed. So not only did I not get much sleep because I heard ever stinking vehicle that passed my house but I was pissed because I only recorded 20 minutes of House! And now have no way to watch what was recorded. Grrrr!!!!!!

Such is life.

Got a DVD player? I've got the whole episode on TIVO and can burn it on a DVD very easily. Just let me know if you want it.

Dvd player I have. And now that the last vcr is gone, I'm thinking I need to upgrade my technology a bit. I guess I need to find out more about TIVO. Its time to come out from under my rock.

I love TIVO, it's the greatest invention ever - although there are other alternatives, I tend to just call them all TIVO. It's so great to be able to set it once and have all the episodes recorded, for instance. Although it's still vulnerable to lightning and surges, so I do use a surge protector. Someone told me you can get a whole-house surge protector. I'm gonna look into that.

Just send me your snailmail address to my yahoo e-mail, mlbengtson @ yahoo.com and I'll send the disk out tomorrow.

BTW, how's the knitting going?

I do need to move up in the world and get some sort of video recorder. I really don't watch much "regular" tv for a bunch of reasons. One of which is all the darned commercials. Ugh! I'm spoiled by have dvds. hee he

The knitting front has expanded in too many directions. I've finished the tulip heel socks and given them to my daughter-in-law for her birthday ON TIME! Woo hoo. The flag afghan has stalled out with 10 or so more rows and then all those stars to crochet. I have a lace scarf I'm knitting for my step-mom which really goes fast but not if I don't work on it. And I've started another pair of plain socks. This time for myself. And finally I started a sweater for my grandson for Xmas. When I analyze all this mess it tells me that I'm very stressed out and my life is just like my knitting. All over the place with nothing getting finished.

Thanks for the dvd of the show. I'm sending my snailmail to you from redhedlvr@comcast.net.
