...with the sweet spot afghan.  Out of all that yarn I bought only two skeins were striping the way they were supposed to.  So instead, I have started my other sock yarn afghan project.

Here is square number one.

And this is the process taking all those little squares (twenty) and joining them with a second row.

Please pardon the awful photography.

Anyway, I plan to have a four square block at the far right of this row and randomly placed throughout the afghan.  And don't let all those ends scare you away either.  I've been weaving them in as I complete each square.  So it's not as bad as it looks.

I will say one thing though, this thing is addictive.  It takes me about 45 minutes to knit one square (because I am slow, or have a really good show on or perhaps its nap time?) but so far it has held my interest.  I mean, there's a strong chance I'll finish this thing in the relative near future!

Oh, wow...that is going to look amazing once done. I can't wait to see it all.

I have a huge bag of yarn for this and all I can think of is I need more! Ugh.

Also, it's really cutting into my SWTOR time. My bounty hunter story is finally getting interesting, and I have a new female, chiss sniper who will be lightside all the way.

This work stuff really is getting in the way of the important things in life. LoL!

Ugh, that is annoying. But, hey, sooner or later...

When does BH get interesting? I've made it to Balmorra and still find my lady utterly boring. I feel bad, as she was meant to be my main but I just...can't make myself play her.

And, yeah, I feel you on the work thing. Oh well...

My Walmart here has crap for yarn. I sneaked (isn't snuck a word?) out at lunch for a quick peek-see.

Yikes, for the bounty hunters! My gal is halfway through Aldaraan at the moment and I was really hoping the story would pick up like it did for agents and smugglers. Maybe I just feel things are more interesting because I've been having Mako run crew missions and craft while Gualt and I take care of business. I don't know. She's my cybertech so I feel compelled to stick with her for her armor/mod making abilities.

I thought snuck was a word...

I'm sorry to hear that about Walmart. I visited them today, hoping for serger thread. No thread at all. (Which was all the more baffling in that they had sewing machines. WTF?)

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that BH still hasn't picked up. Boo. I keep hoping on that one. It feels like the class that I just can't get into. :( I could see that a new companion might help, though. Mako is just a bit too chipper and cute for my evil sadist of a BH, so that might be the problem. Oh well. Will slowly plug away at it when I run out of rested XP on male agent, smuggler, and SW, I guess.

I thought snuck was a word too, but my spell check is red squiggly lining it. And I sure can't spell with out it, so who knows.

As for Walmart, I know! Why sell sewing machines, patterns and FABRIC if you aren't gonna sell thread. What the heck are they thinking?

And SWTOR, what I really want though, is a totally, 100% darkside EEEvil male agent. SCORPIO will love him. Too bad she isn't a companion earlier on. But I want a different race for him. I didn't open up anything exciting as my only lvl 50 is a cyborg. I mean come on, he's just a human with dark glasses, yanno. I need to get a Sith up there in level before I make my darkside guy. Hmmm...

Maybe spell check sucks?

I think it depends on the Walmart, as some have been great. But I was absolutely baffled that my local store had all kinds of sewing supplies...but not spools of thread. I mean, who is going to be using all those zippers, spools of elastic, sewing machines, rotary cutters, etc. without thread? So many mysteries...(esp. as all I wanted was some black thread. I mean, I could get not having a huge quantity. But not even one spool of black or white thread for my poor little serger?)

Oooh, I really want an evil male agent, too. (Although I think he's low on my list as I'm feeling a bit obsessive at this point with two.) And, yeah, SCORPIO will totally love that guy. Hard choice on the race, though. I always like using humans as my darkside characters (so that I can be racist on top of being evil in general), but yeah...I agree that you need something better than a cyborg if you're not going the humanish route. Sith would be pretty freaking awesome, really. (Still so sad that I didn't make my SW sith. What was I thinking?)

I need a server just for my agents. I want one of every race, class and sex. And unless they let us practice polygamy, I'll need more slots for all the various relationship combos out there. Just wait until we get s/s flirting! Woo hoo.

On a side note, like we haven't morphed the conversation away from RL crafting all together, Everquest was a good game for people who liked hand crafts. Mana and health regenerated so slowly, I would have time to knit several rows in between each pull. I thought of that yesterday when I thought I'd knit a bit while chatting with the guild on vent.

Yeah, I feel the same. Maybe not one of everything, but...*sigh* Oh well. And, yeah, s/s flirting is going to be interesting. I'm already nearly certain that my female agent has hooked up with Kaliyo and Temple, and my male agent was flirting pretty hard with Sanju so just...yeah. I can't see either as straight.

How hilarious with knitting and EQ working well together. Go figure. I've yet to find a game that I can sew with, although WoW fishing worked well with reading.

OMG! I hated fishing. It's surprising how often I found my self doing just that. Or making endless circles around the Badlands mining mythril. Actually, I take that back. I found making endless circles mining a zone restful after a long day.

I was okay with fishing. It was nicely mindless, and I got to read. Other than when it was in a PVP zone, and I was constantly paranoid. ;) There was something strangely restful about dailies though. Hmmm. The zen of MMOs!

That's really pretty! It's so detailed, I'm sure I'd never have the patience to do one like that!

Thank you kindly. I just bought one of every skein of sock yarn the store had, so I can't take credit for anything. The beauty of this is, since I'm knitting one square at a time, there are mini-goals built in. I finish one off and weave in the ends and then sit back and admire the colors. Then go on to the next. Yes, yes. It will indeed take forever to finish this way. I did say I'm slow.
